Trump Media Merges with TAE Technologies
US President Donald Trump is stepping into the nuclear fusion sector through a $6 billion consolidation between his social networking corporation and the Google-backed TAE Technologies.
Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the owner of the president’s Truth Social application, declared on Thursday an unusual all-equity collaboration with the fusion enterprise. This initiative signals confidence in escalating energy demands fueled by artificial intelligence expansion and broadens the Trump family’s holdings, which already span cryptocurrency, real estate, and telecommunications.
TAE’s Chief Executive, Michl Binderbauer, told a news agency that the pact unites Trump Media’s “fortress balance sheet” with TAE’s technological platform. “We’ve got capability and technology to really scale this,” Binderbauer stated. “We’ve got the engineering prowess to do that, but the last piece of the puzzle was the capital. Now, you’re marrying capital with that underlying base of technical capability.”
The newly combined organization disclosed intentions to select a site and commence building next year on what it called the “world’s first utility-scale fusion power plant,” aimed at supplying electricity for artificial intelligence operations.
